Hey Browser Pte Ltd (“Hey Browser”) builds & monetizes custom mobile browsers and desktop extension-based products.

General

Hey Browser websites, browser extensions and mobile apps (“Hey Browser properties”) do not handle personal or sensitive information, and respects the privacy of all those who use the services we provide. We have a simple policy that we will not wilfully disclose any information regarding our users without first obtaining their permission, unless required by law. By using Hey browser properties, you consent to the collection and use of your information, which is not personal or sensitive, as outlined in this policy and to our Terms and Conditions of use.

Use of Cookies

A “cookie” is a file sent to your browser by a web server and stored on your computer. It contains data that websites use to identify you as a unique user. Whilst Hey Browser does not handle personal or sensitive information, companies which may choose to advertise via our extension or related search pages may collect information from you if you click on their advertisements or access their sites. What Information do we collect?

Hey Browser properties do not collect any personal or sensitive information about you (such as your name or email address). We do keep a record of the IP addresses from which users access our extension. This data is used by us for internal administration, and to analyse the way in which people use our extension, so that we can keep improving the services we offer. This data also provides us with anonymous and broad demographic information about those using our extension.

Do we disclose information to anyone else?

We do not collect and therefore do not disclose any personal information about our extension users to any 3rd party. For example, we may disclose the total number of “hits” our extension receives, or how often the average user visits our extension, or which terms are most often entered in our search engine. However, we do have a Contact Us page on our properties where users can message, along with displaying our contact email address if users wish to contact. Please be aware, that we will release specific information regarding content received via these platforms if required by law. We receive and reply to emails from users on a regular basis. For record-keeping purpose’s, we retain copies of all incoming and outgoing email. Information in the email we receive or send will not be disclosed to any third party without the permission of the sender, either express or implied, unless required by law.

Please be aware that these external sites are developed by people over whom we have no control, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies only to Hey Browser properties. A targeted advertisement is where the ad shown to the consumer is selected based on personal data obtained from that consumer’s online activities over time and across non-affiliated websites or online applications to predict such consumer’s preferences or interests. Also in certain US states, a consumer has the right to opt-out of the processing of their personal data for purposes of profiling in furtherance of solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effect concerning the consumer. This extends to businesses use of automated decision-making technology, including profiling.
